quality in tourism

"Wight Heaven" is a perfect hideaway for a short, or long, self catering break on the most beautiful part of that glorious little portion of Heaven on Earth,
The Isle of Wight.

Situated at the southernmost tip of the Island, at Niton, by St Catherines Point, nestled in a hillside garden just above the lighthouse, perfect for two/three people to relax in peaceful and beautiful suroundings, or as a base from which to explore the stunning coastal footpaths, yet easy reach of  all the necessities, attractions and villages of this lovely Island.
A Word of Warning!
Visiting the Island is addictive, unless you are very careful you may find yourself becoming infected with an irresistable urge to become what is called  an "Overner", a Mainlander who, like us, seeks out a property on the Island to become your new permanent home.
Our holiday home is a comfortably furnished chalet within a small, peaceful and gated site, surrounded by trees, and overlooking the delightful gardens beneath your front door. Just outside that door you will  have the rare opportunity to see gorgeous native red squirrels, the Island is one of the few places they are still surviving in the U.K.

There are many different reasons why people find this the perfect haven, you will find many of them on following page links, but briefly;
Is "Wight Heaven" ideal for you?
Walkers and Ramblers are in paradise with the unique coastal path, (60 miles of it!) directly outside the gate; and there are hundreds of miles of footpaths, downs, and headlands of breathtaking beauty to explore.
Cyclists enjoy the wonderful countryside, lanes and villages to explore across the south and west wight. The hills are a challenge, but every village has a delightful pub to recuperate a while at!
Car owners wishing to explore the many delights, endless seasonal events, resorts, and attractions of this lovely and lively island; yet seeking a beautiful and peaceful base to return to each day, this is it!
Safe and secure The chalet and car park is within a secure and gated area, access is only possible with the automated gate code which you will have. The owner of the  freehold lives on site and  keeps a watchful eye things, so strangers and prowlers are not a problem here, just tranquil gardens and  prowling Red Squirrels!
Sun Lovers, the Island has an amazing sunshine record, if its around, we will have it! Apples for example are a full month earlier here than on the mainland.
Aeroplane phobics, airport delay detesters, (plus all that long term parking cost and hastle!) , the pleasant half hour ferry trip to this spot of heaven is a  part of the holiday relaxation.
Older Folk, (like us!), seeking a break from the noise and chaos, welcome!
Younger Couples wanting  to get away from it all in beautiful natural surroundings.
Disabled access; from car park is a short, slight, slope, then level paved concrete. A  small step into the property. (See pictures on next page and judge for yourself)
Writers, stressed executives, sit on the porch and be inspired!
A neighbouring owner lives in a nearby Island town, yet uses her chalet as a peaceful haven most of the year.
Yet for all of these, a friendly pub, (with good food),  a splendid local shop, (well stocked), excellent butcher, chemist, even a doctors surgery, all are just a very short walk away.
"Wight Heaven" is not for you if:-
You want holiday camp excitement, pools, bars, arcades on yourdoorstep. Plenty of these around Sandown and Shanklin.
You have children. Only chalet owners children are allowed on  the site, and it is rare to find even them here. Children really will find it very boring and quiet. There are no child facilities, not even a swing, the gardens are out of bounds to them. Infants can be accomodated, but you will need to bring a cot or basket.
You have a pet
. Sorry the lease specifically bans all pets.
Your idea of fun is loud parties every night with boose, drugs and chaos. You will find your heaven in the north around Ryde and Newport, not here.
Our visitors book.
We thought it would be nice to have a book where our guests could record their comments on their holiday in Wight Heaven.
After our first year we are delighted to say that every single page written has been full of pleasant and complimentary comments, so we must be doing something right!
